Just Transition Commission Roundtable on Innovation and Technology

IBioIC was invited to give evidence to the Scottish Government’s Just Transition Commission, for a session that was looking to examine the role innovation and technology can play in supporting a just and fair transition to net-zero emissions. IBioIC’s CEO Mark Bustard gave evidence at the roundtable alongside the European Marine Energy Centre, Aquaterra and Community Energy Scotland.

The Just Transition Commission was been set up to provide Scottish Government Ministers with practical advice around the opportunities associated with meeting Scotland’s climate change targets, while managing the risks and challenges. The Commission is made up of 12 members, covering a range of interests including industry, environmental groups, trade unions and academics. The Commission is chaired by Professor Jim Skea of Imperial College London.
