Membership fee holiday, an update from IBioIC CEO
Statement from Mark Bustard, CEO of IBioIC on 11 September 2020
COVID-19 has been an incredibly difficult period for all of us, both economically and socially. IBioIC recognises the difficulty that many companies and organisations have been facing during these times. In my new tenure as CEO of IBioIC, I have decided to take decisive action to support our carefully cultivated network of members.
The following actions will be taken by IBioIC in the spirit of keeping our community going:
IBioIC will offer all members a four-month membership fee holiday, between the period of 1st September 2020 and 31st December 2020. For clarity, this will be implemented for each company by issuing their annual membership fee invoice four months after the usual due date.
The ‘pay to play’ fees normally applied to our projects and PhD funding will also be waived between the period of 1st September 2020 and 31st December 2020, and this mechanism will be reviewed over the coming months.
I hope the above outlined measures show IBioIC’s support for the industrial biotechnology community during the uncertainty of COVID-19.
