Wyoming Interactive is a software development company with 12+ years’ experience in the Life and Chemical Sciences and adjacent industries.

We have been working in the Life & Chemical Sciences industry for around 12 years, providing custom software and data solutions to a range of organisations throughout the EU and US. Over this time, we have built long-term relationships and a solid reputation for seamless end-to-end digital solutions. We are focussed on helping clients improve commercial performance through the application of digital technologies, data engineering and data science.

The solutions that we have been building over the years have leveraged secure cloud services, online collaboration tools and cross-channel digital messaging. Exactly the tools that we have all been forced to adopt to support remote working whilst we all practise social distancing. Anyone used Zoom today? Or perhaps easier to ask who hasn’t! COVID-19 wasn’t the driver for us to adopt these tools and methods but it turns out that the major digital collaboration platforms are exactly what we all need in the current environment.

A lot of our work involves wrangling data from incompatible systems and platforms, then applying modelling, visualisations and analysis methods to draw meaningful insight. This might be the creation of a custom reporting tool, a dashboard or a web-based application.

Continuing work through COVID-19

During these uncertain times, the Wyoming team are working fully remotely in order to protect ourselves and our families. Despite missing our office atmosphere and face-to-face meetings, we’ve adapted very well to remote working and are continuing to deliver all services as usual for our clients and partners around the world. Collaboration has never been so important, and we’re proud of the continued quality of service that our team continues to provide.

Even before Coronavirus and COVID-19 became terms of everyday usage, at Wyoming we were set-up nicely for remote working. We have made heavy use of online collaboration and are pleased to say we’re working largely as normal.

During the transition to remote working, we quickly realised the importance of keeping in touch and maintaining frequent communication as a company, and now have bi-weekly all-hands remote meetings. We use these to give each team member the opportunity to present a project, challenge or opportunity they have been working on, and to get the thoughts and opinions of the wider team, just as they would in our office environment. It’s working really well for us and helping to ensure we’re well connected.

We’re in a fortunate position, with our client work progressing as normal. We have a wide client base in the UK, US and Europe and have recently started providing data analytics services to a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation in China. All possible thanks to remote technology.

Collaborative projects are always something we’re on the look-out for as a company, and never more so during this time. We’re looking actively for ways to contribute to the COVID-19 response, be that supporting organisations to mobilise in digital during this time or how our data engineering and data science skills and experience may be able to contribute to improving our situation faster and more effectively.
