SCOUT Supports SMEs at PharmaTech Integrates

In collaboration with Life Sciences Integrates, the SCOUT Project recently supported an exciting new Innovator Area at the PharmaTech Integrates Conference, giving SMEs a unique opportunity to showcase their research and developments to an audience of pharma innovators, regulators, supply chain partners, equipment & technology providers, academia, and industry associations.

In addition, and ahead of the main conference event, exclusive access was granted for a full tour of the newly completed Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) at Inchinnan, next to Glasgow Airport. A unique, state-of-the-art facility, MMIC will offer transformative solutions in small molecule and fine chemical manufacturing through a collaboration between CPI, University of Strathclyde, UK Research & Innovation, Scottish Enterprise and founding industry partners, AstraZeneca and GSK.

One of the attending SMEs was Cohesion Medical, and CEO Euan Cameron said of the experience, “Today has been a really exciting event. It was great to see it so busy, which allowed us to make a huge number of connections and have detailed and involved conversations explaining to people what we are doing and how it relates to life sciences. The tour of MMIC was also great, it is a really impressive facility.

“I would like to thank SCOUT for giving us the opportunity to be part of today’s event and for the real value we have got from their process of analysing our business proposition, which has allowed us to shape and sharpen how we go forward.”

As part of the introductions, SCOUT team member Grahame Busby gave an overview of the project, which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/yVWwmyR31sY
