Dyneval launch first product

Dyneval recently launched its first product, Dynescan. This instrument's novel technology allows vets, farmers, and semen processing laboratories to measure semen quality precisely using a portable device.

The development of Dynescan was supported through an IBioIC Edge award won by Dyneval in the EDGE17 competition and a £1.3M investment secured in October 2021 .

The Dyneval team has grown from 3 to 11 members within the last six months and the company continues on an aggressive growth path to develop new products and services to bring the benefits of its innovative technology to the animal breeding industry.  Unlike current technologies, the Dynescan is easy to use and performs precise, user-independent measurements over a wide range of semen concentrations (e.g., fresh, frozen and sexed semen of different species).

Dyneval provides the first portable technology that measures percentage motility (live versus dead) and the mean speed of spermatozoa over time. Dynescan empowers users to make informed decisions on-farm to increase conception rates, maximise the farmer's profits, and lower methane emissions by up to 10%. Our ambition is to provide the first industry standard for semen quality control that can be used across the industry.

Dyneval invites companies within the IBioIC network to get in touch if they are looking for a direct method to measure microorganism motility to optimise the growing conditions for industrial biotechnology. Look out for the team at IBioIC's 8th Annual Conference in June.
