CEO message to members

Welcome to IBioIC’s quarterly members only newsletter.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Green Bioactives, SAS/JMP, the Centre for Education, Engineering and Development, Eco Clean team and Cellexus, who have all decided to join IBioIC’s member network.

I was delighted to see the re-opening of IBioIC’s Scale-Up Centres in July, a glimmer of hope as the rules around the COVID-19 lockdown period began to loosen for laboratory work.

IBioIC has been reflecting on the consequences of COVID-19 to our community and I have decided to take action to support our network. Between the period of 1st September 2020 and 31st December 2020 IBioIC will offer all existing members a four-month membership fee holiday where your renewal date will be pushed back by four months. The ‘pay to play’ fees normally applied to IBioIC projects and PhD funding will be waived during this period as well, making it an especially good time for members to consider securing projects with IBioIC.

Lastly, I am pleased to confirm IBioIC’s 2021 conference will be going ahead, on 10 and 11 February 2020, with more details to follow. We have decided to go virtual for 2021 and hope that you are able to join us.

We want to actively support the COVID-19 effort from the industrial biotechnology sector, and I hope this cements IBioIC’s commitment to support members during this challenging time.

Best wishes,

Mark

We’ve decided to go green with all of IBioIC’s future newsletters, to further showcase our commitment to sustainability.

IBioIC is delighted to welcome the new member organisations who have joined us over recent months.
